Is it just me, or are most of the gay people in theatre openly so?

In my moments of sexual revelation, the thing that has me intrigued (and comforted too, I guess) is that people always react with variations of “You’re way too straight to be gay!” The latest male friend I came out to commented: “You sure don’t display any of the symptoms siaz”, much to my amusement.

Resolving the Kinseyian Dilemma

And that just about sums up the outcome of my first coming out to a male heterosexual friend.
